Dove Award-winning, best-selling rock band Pillar and Tooth and Nail recording artist Thousand Foot Krutch collaborate for this spring’s hottest ticket, the “For Those About to Rock Tour. ” Presented in partnership with primary sponsor Trivo Wireless, the tour will also feature Gotee Records rapper John Reuben and EMI CMG newcomer DIZMAS.

With more than 20 cities already confirmed, Knoxville, Tenn. is the first to host “For Those About to Rock” this Friday, April 8. Additional dates will take the tour to Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Indiana and Texas. A complete tour itinerary follows this release.

“This package combines the best in Christian rock and hip hop,” comments Third Coast Artists Agency agent, Dan Rauter. “We’re excited to team up with Pillar and Thousand Foot Krutch, two acts that are having a huge impact inside as well as outside the Christian music industry. To add John Reuben, a hip hop veteran and proven ticket-seller, along with newcomer DIZMAS makes for a truly powerful event.”

Since the band’s Dove Award-winning 2001debut Above, Flicker Records artist Pillar has seen unprecedented success in every aspect of its career. With five No. 1 radio singles and seven Top 5 hits to its credit, Pillar has earned an additional two Dove Awards, headlined five national tours, performed for more than two million people, and been featured on the covers of Radio & Records, Rockline Magazine, CCM Magazine, 7ball Magazine, Breakaway Magazine, HM Magazine, and Christian Retailing Magazine. Thousand Foot Krutch released its first independent album, Set it Off, which garnered two No. 1 radio hits, in 2000. Since then, the group’s fan base has grown exponentially with support from Christian Rock Radio and a heavy touring schedule that boasts nearly 300 dates annually. In 2003, Thousand Foot Krutch signed with Seattle-based Tooth and Nail Records who released its national label debut, Phenomenon. The project has sold 143,000 units, according to current Christian SoundScan® reports, and garnered three No. 1 radio singles as well as five Top 5 hits. Among those singles, “Rawkfirst” peaked at No. 23 on the Radio & Records Active Rock format. The band releases its next studio album, The Art of Breaking, produced by Arnold Lanni (Our Lady Peace, Simple Plan, Finger Eleven), July 19. The re-mix album, In Hindsight The Professional Rapper Isn’t There Yet, was also available to fans late last year. Reuben has toured extensively with shows in North and South America, Europe, and India alongside artists such as Toby Mac, Five Iron Frenzy, and Out of Eden.
