Hey Iím Rory, check out my world.
When I was younger my family and I used to go to church on Sundays. Not because it was important, it just seemed like the thing to do. There was never really a foundation in my life so it was easy for other things to get in the way of church. Surfing and other things began to consume my lifeÖwhich eventually pulled me away from church.
As time went on, my lifestyle began to reflect my lack of God. When I started going to college, I got involved with drinking and drugs. Eventually this led to my arrest, and my drivers liscense being revoked. I was pretty much stuck at home.
One day a friend of mine invited me to hang out with her, without telling me we were going to church. However, once I was there, I felt this incredible draw inside of me. There was pulling at me to get my life straight and change the direction I was heading. That night I made the decision to commit my life to Christ.
Once that took place, my mentality shifted, my attitude and outlook on life changed completely. I put my entire focus on God and what He had planned for me.
Over the past year and a half my life has taken a radical turn. Only a few months after I started my new l got involved in church. And in less than a year, I started studying at the churchís bible college.
God has transformed my life and my thinking. I have a tremendous passion for young people and seeing them do life with God. Iím studying to become a youth pastor so I can influence the people around me, to help keep the generations to come from making the same mistakes I made.
Godís grace is so amazing. He took someone like me, turned me around, and ignited such a passion for Him and His desires for me. God has given me a life far above what I could ever think or imagine.
