Hi! I am Gregório, and this is my world!

I had a good childhood. I got along well with my parents and siblings. Since I was little, my mom went to a church, and she made me go with her.

Time went by, and I left church. I met several people who weren’t serious about life, and I joined them. I partied almost every weekend, and I got involved with alcohol and acquainted with marijuana.

When I grew up, I realized my father was an alcoholic. From that moment on, I tried to help him, but nothing worked. Because of the drinking, my parents got divorced. I sought refuge in marijuana, and I experimented with other types of drugs. I smoked pot every day trying to forget the problems I was facing. I started partying harder, where lots of drugs were available.

One day, after inhaling ether spray, I felt strong chest pains. I went to the hospital where I found out I had a lung perforation. I was embarrassed, and I did not admit to using drugs. I had to be operated on, and there was a complication during surgery. They told me I had to undergo another surgery, and I was terrified.

I knew only God could help me out. I was in the hospital for another 10 days. In the subsequent months, I felt something I had never felt before: a desire to be closer to God. After I got better, I went back to church. In the beginning, it wasn’t easy, and I stumbled sometimes, but God helped me overcome each challenge.

Today, I am free from my addictions. I feel like I woke up to life, and that the time spent away from God was lost time. My current goal is showing others that life with God is good; it’s much better than any party or any drug. It does not matter what you have done: God loves you, and will always be ready to help you.
