For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief. Proverbs 24:16
Winning at life doesnít mean you never get knocked down. It simply means that you get back up.
Some of the most successful people had big failures in their lives. Clint Eastwood was fired from Universal Pictures in 1959 because they said he talked too slowly, but that didnít keep him from acting. Walt Disney bankrupt seven times in his life, but that didnít keep him from building. Vincent Van Gogh sold only one painting in his lifetime, but that didnít keep him from painting. Henry Ford forgot to put reverse in his first automobile, but that didnít keep him from continuing to build cars.
The Word of God doesnít say you will never fall, but it does say you will never lose Ė as long as you get back up. In order to become all that God created you to be, you are going to have to do things you have never done before. And when trying new things, you will fall down from time to time Ė just as you did the first time you learned to ride your bike. But thatís okay as long as you get back up, try again, and learn from your mistakes.
Donít be afraid to fall; only be afraid to have never tried.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your mercy and forgiveness when I fall. Give me the strength and courage to get up and try again each time I fall. Help me to learn from my mistakes, that I may avoid repeating them again. In Jesusí name I pray. Amen
